Hubbard and Hucker joined together to try to stop the Transport committee from sending a sharp message to the ouncil chief executive. Quite rightly they were wanting to know how a project slated to cost $12 million was now running at more than double that, increasing by $14 million. Clearly the council thinks it can act without oversight from the councillors and clearly they have no controls over projects, blowouts of that magnitude would never happen in the private sector, certainly if they did someone would be fired.?
