Headlines can be very misleading. The Herald covers the Labour Party's contribution to the select committee but leaves out Paul Harris and Business NZ.

Further Mike Smith's only real contribution other than fawning adoration for the bill is for slight changes to the definition of "advertisement".

Let there be no mistake, Labour is against Free Speech. I say again, If someone wants to spend $2 million saying that National sucks, I say let them. The Electoral Finance Bill stifles suffocates debate and kills freedom of speech.?
