All polls now carry the same theme. There was no bounce for Labour from their much vaunted budget and last throw of the dice and the polls are now locked in to a defeat for labour, the only area remaining to see is how big that defeat will be. Will Helen Clark beat Bill English’s ignominious 20.9%.

The Roy Morgan Poll has Labour still clinging to the low 30’s but facing electoral oblivion nonetheless.

National Party support was 52.5% (up 2%)
Labour Party 31.5% (down 0.5%)
Greens 7% (steady)
NZ First 4% (unchanged)
Maori Party 2% (down 1%)
ACT NZ 2% (up 0.5%
United Future 0.5% (down 0.5%).

The RM poll also shows that Labour trails everywhere in the country even in Wellington as the civil servants swap allegiences. Fairfax’s Neilson poll also delivers soe devastating poll news in a different sector. They say that Maori are deserting Labour for National! They must be sick to the back teeth of Labour’s patronising attitude toward labour and look set to deliver all maori seats to the Maori Party and for the first time ever the party vote to National.
