Even little Great Barrier Island, hardly known as the bastion of anti-Labour sentiment had a protest yesterday in support of the Truckies.

Because Great Barrier has no mains power, most residents have to rely on diesel-powered generators. Good for the government but bollocks for the GBI’s, paying road taxes for a generator sitting in a shed.
