The Irrelevancy Formerly Known as Goff (TIFKAG) has bombed his chance at redemption over the smacking policy by flip-flop-flapping his way all around the issue and finally ending up back where he and Labour started, being pilloried for Sue Bradfords nannyism.

He had a chance, albeit a fleeting one, to turn the tide of public opinion in his favour. Looks like he lacked the bottle and is therefore condemned to be replaced sooner rather than later.
