Give that man a DB

Cactus Kate blogged it yesterday, the NZ Herald reports it today.

BEIJING – Chen Fuchao, a man heavily in debt, had been contemplating suicide on a bridge in southern China for hours when a passerby came up, shook his hand – and pushed him off the ledge.

But bugger me, the authorities protected his sorry assed life;

Chen fell 8m on to a partly inflated emergency air cushion laid out by authorities and survived, suffering spine and elbow injuries, the official Xinhua News Agency said. Chen was recovering in the hospital.

What a loser, can’t even kill himself properly. People who top themselves are deeply selfish and the pusher agrees;

“I pushed him off because jumpers like Chen are very selfish. Their action violates a lot of public interest,” Lai was quoted as saying by Xinhua. “They do not really dare to kill themselves. Instead, they just want to raise the relevant government authorities’ attention to their appeals.”

I wonder though what would have happened here if such a thing occurred?

Meanwhile we have a stupid protest that disrupts traffic in Auckland organised by fools and supported by the Green party who it looks like condones flagrant law-breaking. In fact if anyone should be arrested for illegally crossing the bridge then it should be Russel Norman, for he is an MP who was elected to uphold and write our laws now disregard them.
