Take the perks

Former MPs can claim the perks only if they were elected before 1999. As if we ever needed a reason to strip former MPs of their perks then I’ll give you one just in case. Phillip Field was elected in 1993 and thus can avail himself of the perks of office despite being convicted of corruption, bribery and perverting the course of justice while he was an MP.

Greedy little MP piggiesWe should just take the perks off the greedy little ex-MP piggies, and tell them to fuck off.

If they come back and start whinging about it being part of their salary because they were dodging tax in another era then they need to be told they should have lowered the tax rate.

If they say they will take the taxpayer to court they will be publically tar and feathered, and run out of town on a rail. Perhaps by a posse lead by publicity seeking blogger.

So I reckon we can just take their entitlements, and they wont be able to do anything about it because the court of public opinion is firmly against them.

Time to end the troughing, let’s start with former MPs.
