Whoopsy – Looks like the science was wrong on CO2

Oh dear, how inconvenient. New research has found no rise of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide fraction in past 160 years.

To assess whether the airborne fraction is indeed increasing, Wolfgang Knorr of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol reanalyzed available atmospheric carbon dioxide and emissions data since 1850 and considers the uncertainties in the data.

In contradiction to some recent studies, he finds that the airborne fraction of carbon dioxide has not increased either during the past 150 years or during the most recent five decades.

Can I hear a collective Oh Fuck! from the Warm-mongers? Yes I think I can. But here’s the interesting thing. This information was released to the mainstream media on 9 November and not a soul covered it except for a single blogger. I missed it but now the paper has hit the science news I finally caught up. Pat Michaels had this to say about the “models”.

In other words, like we have repeated over and over, if the models can?t replicate the past (for the right reasons), they can?t be relied on for producing accurate future projections. And as things now stand, the earth is responding to anthropogenic CO2 emissions in a different (and perhaps better) manner than we thought that it would.

So explain to me again why we need an ETS? Is it all just so the bankers have something else to trade? Yes I think so. The whole thing is a fraud.
