Labour are dog tucker, Greens stepping up

The other day the Dominion Post had an article saying that Labour was dog tucker.

The latest Roy Morgan poll confirms?that, and confirms that Goff is a dead-man-walking.

“The latest New Zealand Roy Morgan Poll shows support for?Prime Minister John Key?s National-led Government is?virtually unchanged at 56% (up 0.5%). Support for Key?s?National Party is 52% (up 0.5%), ACT NZ 2% (unchanged), the?Maori Party 1.5% (unchanged), and United Future 0.5%?(unchanged).

Support for Opposition Parties is at 44% (down 0.5%) ??Labour Party 29.5% (down 2.5%), Greens 9% (up 2%), New?Zealand First 3.5% (down 0.5%), Mana Party 1% (up 0.5%) and?Others 1% (unchanged).

If a National Election were held today the National Party?would easily be returned to Government.”

This poll has confirmed a trend that has now been seen in?ALL the polls released over the last few days….National is?going UP in the polls, while Labour is going DOWN in the?polls.

At this rate Goff is going to break Bill English’s 2002?record.

The drop in support for the Labour party has benefited the?Green Party (as other polls are showing). The Greens may?just become the new official opposition. In Canada this year?we saw a traditional “third placed party” become the new?opposition party and the traditional opposition party become?a third rate party.

Unless some Labour MP’s grow some balls and roll Goff, they?are staring down the possibility of not only defeat, but?relegation to a third rate party and handing the role of?”official Opposition Party” to the Greens.
