Pathetic, makes me want to go and nail all sorts of African animals

There is nothing worse than celebrities going out and doing something then pathetically apologising for their actions after some whiners and whingers arc up on social media.

Glenn McGrath is the latest no-dick to apologise after shooting a game animal in Africa. Worse still it happened in 2008…but that hasn’t stopped the whingers.

Former Australian test cricketer Glenn McGrath has said he deeply regrets shooting African animals ? despite speaking about wanting to do so two years before.

He is facing a wave of angry criticism after pictures showing him with dead African wildlife began circulating online.

The photographs of McGrath, who is known to enjoy hunting, can be found by searching Chipitani Safaris, a game park in South Africa, but appear to have been removed from the website.

They show the former fast bowler crouched beside what looks like a dead buffalo, two hyenas and posing with the tusks of an elephant. ?
Twitter users have attacked McGrath over the picture, labeling them “disgusting.”

Since his retirement McGrath works part-time as a cricket commentator and runs the McGrath Foundation, a breast cancer support organisation named after his late wife Jane, who died from the disease.

In his note on social media, McGrath refers to going through an “extremely difficult” time in his life when the photos were taken, presumably referring to the death of his wife in 2008.

But while the photos have come as surprise to cricket fans, McGrath has hardly been hiding his love of shooting animals.

A Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA) magazine, thought to be published in 2006, told the story of McGrath, with fellow former players Brett Lee and Jason Gillespie, enjoying a hunting trip in the NSW bush.

The article said McGrath was a SSAA NSW life member who was inspired by books on hunting in Africa at the turn of the 20th century.

Any respect I had for McGrath has now gone after apologising for doing something legal and that he enjoys.

I’m of a mind to line up a trip to Africa, not to climb stupid mountains, but to shoot game animals…and then proceed to go to North America and nail the Super Slam 25.

Anyone who complains and whines will be met with a GFY.
