NZ reels over X-Factor judge debacle while Australia ponders the Penis Jacket

And we wonder why people are giving up on broadcast TV…

Fashion’s not for everyone, you either appreciate the flattering cut of a blazer or you point and laugh like the internet did when Channel Ten news presenter Natarsha Belling wore a jacket with an X-rated neckline.

An avid viewer of Ten’s weekend Eye Witness News, who must study Freud in his downtime, noticed the Scanlan Theodore crepe jacket Belling was wearing had an unusual shape, a shape usually screened on SBS after 11pm, not during prime time.

He took a photo of the offending emerald green jacket by the Australian high-end fashion house, which was at one stage unfortunately accessorised with a pearl necklace, and posted it on Facebook with the caption, “Like if you came here to find out what?it is” which more than 26,000 tittering critics did.

Go on, you want to see it, don’t you? ?

Belling has received support from her news reading peers in the United States.

Oh c’mon. People ur reading too much into this! Anchor wears “phallic” jacket #anchorproblems ? Dion Lim (@DionLimWTSP) March 16, 2015

While a Channel Ten spokesperson wouldn’t be drawn on whether or not the jacket will be shafted from the wardrobe department, it’s unlikely it will make another appearance on camera as the peplum style climaxed about a year ago.

And now, back to your regular scheduled programme.
