Gang leader in court on firearms offences, gets bail?

Tribal Huk gang leader Jamie Pink has appeared in court charged with firearms offences.

Appearing under the name Allan James Pink in the Hamilton District Court on Wednesday he entered no plea to two charges of unlawfully carrying a firearm.

Wearing a patch over his right eye and with his right hand strapped, he was supported in court by fellow members of the gang based in Ngaruawahia.

He was remanded on bail until November 16.

Pink declared war on methamphetamine in the Waikato town last month vowing to rid it of those dealing the drug.

Outside court his lawyer Roger Laybourn refused to comment on the charges.

He said Pink’s focus was on the gang’s feeding the children programme providing lunches to the needy and keeping the town clean of methamphetamine.

Pink was under supervision under the Mental Health Act over the weekend. ?And now the judge allows him to roam free until his next court date?

It may be a good idea not to loiter around?Ngaruawahia for the foreseeable future…
