After years of bagging John Key for his cycle trails, Labour now embrace them.

Kelvin Davis came out of witness protection to splash the cash.

Newshub reports:

Waikato’s Hauraki Rail Trail is getting a $3.4 million extension the Government hopes will encourage riders to stay longer in the region.

Tourism Minister Kelvin Davis says the 120km cycleway will be lengthened to about 170km, providing a multi-day ride.

“There’s potential to develop a bigger international market for the trail,” he said.

“When it’s complete, each section will show off a different fact of the region from the rich M?ori and gold mining histories to the beauty of the Kaimai Ranges and the Coromandel Peninsula.” End of quote.

Labour blagged cycle trails for years. Oh how they mocked them, and John Key. End quote.

Now it seems they are embracing them as they splash the cash around the regions.
