‘Fish of the day’ photoshop tutorial

 

1) Get two images of the same person from the internet and open them in Photoshop.

2) Make a quick mask of the hands and the fish on the second image. You can do this by using the Lasso tool. Select the area you wish to mask and then click on the Mask icon at the? bottom of the Layers palette (it looks like a dark rectangle with a hole in the middle).

3) Select the masked fish and hands layer, then go to menu Edit > Transform > Flip horizontal.

4) With the masked fish and hands layer still selected, drag it and drop it into the second image.

5) Position and resize the masked fish and hands layer on to the layer body to fit.

6) Make the Canvas bigger. Go to Edit > Canvas size. Type a bigger Height size, then click to Anchor to the Top centre, and press OK.

7) Finally, add a colour background and some type.
