Irony alert: HRC proposal may breach Universal Declaration of Human rights

Universal Declaration of Human rights.

How is this for irony?? The Human Rights Commission’s proposal to protect Islam from criticism with ‘disharmonious speech’ laws may?breach?at least two of the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Quote.

Article 19 Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers. End of quote.

That seems pretty clear-cut. Everyone has the right to “freedom of opinion and expression” without interference. There are no exceptions, no ifs, no buts or maybes.? It is completely clear and unambiguous. Quote.

Article 30 “Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein.” End of quote.

With their proposed action, isn’t the New Zealand Human Rights Commission “engaging in an activity aimed at the destruction of our rights and freedoms”?

I want to see a lawyer demolish the Human Rights Commission in court over this.

I want to see their (metaphorical) blood on the floor.
