The meeting of the Mad Hatters!

The 80s and 90s were a time of corporate evangelism. I know this because I did umpteen managerial courses. One of these was Edward De Bono’s ‘Six Thinking Hats’.

In a nutshell, he correctly identified that meetings involved varied opinions. All the chairperson was required to do was to recognise which hat each participant was wearing and use their subjective opinions objectively.

Most of these courses made sense at the time but the theories and principle were never really applied. There is only one rule in the corporate jungle ? drink from the Kool-Aid fountain or move out!
