Khan Baby

There are times when I feel complete despair for Britain, and also for New Zealand, which seems destined to follow in Britain’s disastrous footsteps. But then, just once in a while, I see something that gives me a glimmer of hope; that reminds me that the words of the song Rule Britannia really do mean something and that Britons may not accept being overrun by Muslims and Sharia law in the long run. One can only hope.

Today was one of those days.

Having written yesterday on the disgraceful proposal to fly a balloon depicting Donald Trump as a baby in a nappy over the Houses of Parliament during his state visit later this month, the people of London have gone one better.?The Voice of Europe?reports: Quote:

It shows that the country does not approve of Sadiq Khan?s approval of a balloon mocking President Trump. Normally, the sort of balloon would not be approved, so this is bending rules to allow this.

The counter-campaign for a balloon depiction the London Mayor in a nappy to go up?surpassed the ?10,000?in a short time as people throughout the country are disgusted and embarrassed by Mr. Khan?s disrespect of the US President. There is also a march on 14 July to WELCOME President Trump in London.

The campaign?s appeal reads: ?To have a giant size Sadiq Khan, ?Baby Khan? balloon fly over London to demonstrate our unhappiness with him as our Mayor of London.?

It goes on to explain: ?In light of the Donald Trump ?Baby Trump? balloon being allowed to fly over London during his visit to the UK, let?s get a ?baby Khan? one and see if FREE SPEECH applies to all and whether or not Mr Khan and the London Assembly will also approve this.?

The uncomfortable fact for Mr. Khan is, having approved the one depicting President Trump, his hands are now tied. He either has to reverse his approval of that one, or approve this one.?The legal precedent has been set. End quote.

Oh, how delicious! This is the best thing I’ve seen in ages. I’m also delighted with the fact that large numbers of British people were embarrassed by Khan’s actions towards the President of the United States. As they should be.

Obviously, Mr Khan’s popularity is not as solid as he might think. He could be a one term mayor. As could another mayor, a little closer to home.

Maybe free speech is not quite dead after all. Maybe.
