Recently Patrick Gower, a reporter for controversial media flyweight Mediaworks, conducted an extraordinary ?interview? with Canadian free speech advocates, Lauren Southern and Stefan Molyneux.??Not that left-leaning Gower is personally exempt from controversy.??He is said to have once proclaimed ?I am the f**king news? which not only showed his lack of eloquence in a library setting quite literally surrounded by words but also proved to be somewhat prescient, albeit four years early and not in a good way.??Some may say prescient, while others may say premature elocution. Given Alt-left reporter, Gower didn?t once deny or rule out he wasn?t premature during that extraordinary ?interview?, who can say what other parts of his life aren?t also premature?

Looking at his employer, the controversial purveyor of fake news MediaWorks, one wonders about Ctrl-left Gower?s choice of company.??Under the tutelage of the highly controversial Duncan Garner, (not without his own ?issues?), one can?t help but wonder if free-speech-denier Gower has picked up questionable practices from his dubious colleagues and dodgy employer.??The disreputable MediaWorks has been mired in controversy; in particular leaning heavily on a taxpayer loan to support a business that has been a catastrophic commercial failure, more than once.? Cue emotive sound bite:?that is hard earned money out of your and my pockets used to prop up an extremist organisation that denies hard-working tax-paying citizens their rights to free speech!

Enough of the dodgy dealings and associations of the ultra-left Gower; let?s look at?that?interview.??Like all supposedly well-meaning but misguided left-leaning reporters, having no knowledge of his subjects was no impediment whatsoever for Gower to tackle Southern and Molyneux.??Although ?tackle? is a little generous for the hapless Alt-left reporter Gower.??It was worse than Mike Catt trying to stop Jonah Lomu in 1995.??It was more like Gower putting his unprotected head in the way of both of their knees, repeatedly, as they sprinted for the try line.??With a face best suited to Radio, this clearly wasn?t Gower’s first time playing rugby, if I can use some Kiwi vernacular.

Dazed but unfazed, the unprepared Gower proceeded unarmed into the battle of wits.? His opening gambit was an indefensible attack using straw men to deny the right to free speech for others, excepting himself of course.??Oh the hypocrisy, if only he could have seen it through his hate-tinted glasses.??Never one to let facts trump feelings, the Nazi-esque Gower employed hate speech to shut down free speech.

In response to an inflammatory Cathy Newman inspired straw man question, Lauren Southern asked:

will you accept the diverse view that women should be stoned for the crime of being raped?

Crickets, and not the sporting type.??Unable to accept Lauren?s question was, in fact, an answer, for fear it may highlight the blinkered ignorance of his previous question, the man with a face and brain better suited to graveyard shift Radio asked the question again.? Not?once, but twice?thereby displaying a breath-taking inability at joining dots.??When presented with a quote attributed to Angela Merkel, the best the punch-drunk reporter could do was change the subject.

When the hate-speech fuelled Gower incorrectly interpreted something Stefan Molyneux had previously said and sought clarification, he refused to allow Molyneux to answer and changed the subject, again.??The humourless Gower then asked Lauren Southern to explain a joke, twice.??Oh dear.??Interviews usually go better when reporters have complete control over their mental faculties.

When Molyneux asked if Maoris don?t have a sense of humour, as was implied by the humourless and hapless Gower, the best he came up with is ?are you serious??? Probably a question that should have been put to the Alt-left extremist Gower as he conflates two unconnected events in an earnest attempt at joining the Cathy Newman hall of fame for manufactured outrage.??The extraordinary ‘interview’ then devolved into a disagreement over what they are disagreeing upon.??It?s your show, Paddy.

Never one to accept first-hand knowledge as fact, the incandescent Gower stated: ?you are welcome to enforce the contract if there is one.???A word of advice Paddy: feel free to act like a reporter, if you are one.??In fact, I have never seen any evidence to suggest Patrick Gower is a reporter so I shall henceforth refer to him as an “Alt-left mouthpiece and alleged reporter”.??By this time Lauren Southern was left wondering if she and the Alt-left mouthpiece and alleged reporter had actually been taught the same version of English, given he asked the same question repeatedly, despite being answered each time.

As Stefan Molyneux looked on with restrained boredom; so did I as the woebegone free-speech denying Gower clutched at straws and asked a theoretical question, twice.??One is left wondering if a space alien was actually beamed up and a replicant replaced Patrick Gower.??Based on that effort he should take Julie Anne Genter?s advice and step aside.

In a final act thereby confirming Messrs Dunning and Kruger’s study on cognitive bias, Gower posts the video on Twitter.? I think he needs a head injury assessment before he commits another career-ending act of self-flagellation.? Or maybe best to leave him to it.???It?s your show, Paddy.
