We fear what we do not understand

I think in light of the fuss around free speech this video is very topical and relevant.

This is a story about Daryl Davis a black jazz musician, who met and became friends with the Grand Wizard of the KKK. Hiis story highlights exactly why we need to engage and understand the people who hate us, or whose speech we don’t like.

“A chance encounter with members of the Ku Klux Klan led black musician Daryl Davis on a quest to determine the source of the hate. His unorthodox, yet simple approach, has wielded surprising results and just might be the solution for all racial discourse.”
