‘Most feminist religion’: a woman must ‘answer the call of her husband’

The honking day-glo human clown-car of glass-jawed Islamic victimhood, Yassmin Abdel-Magied, ventures the hilarious opinion that Islam is ?the most feminist religion?. Which is difficult argument to sustain (at least, with a straight face), when Islamic preachers keep spouting such un-feminist things. Quote:

The NSW Attorney-General has criticised the ?repugnant views? of a Sydney Muslim preacher who told members of an Islamic group in Sydney?s west it was a ?major sin? for wives to refuse their husband?s demands for sexual intercourse. End of quote.

What is it about Islamic groups in western Sydney, that they keep importing and hosting preachers who spout off against women, gays, and just about everyone else on the left?s victim totem-pole. I mean, they are ‘moderate Muslims’, aren?t they? Quote:

Nassim Abdi made the comments condoning marital rape in a video posted and later removed from the YouTube page for the Auburn branch of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah, which means the Followers of Sunni Islam and the Community.

?If the husband calls the wife to be intimate and there?s no legitimate reason for the woman to say no, then she must answer the call of her husband,? Mr Abdi said in the ASWJ Auburn video on Friday. ?She must answer the call of her husband and if not, she had committed a major sin.?

He goes on to say that women who refused marital intimacy would be cursed by angels. ?The man calls the wife to bed and the woman refuses? The angels curse this woman and he sleeps with her while she?s angry the angels curse her until she wakes up.? End of quote.

When an Australian judge in the 1990s questioned whether a husband had a right to demand sex from his wife, feminists rightly went ballistic. Yet, when Islamic preachers are bluntly stating that women have no right to refuse sex to their husbands, feminists have been conspicuous by their silence.

Apparently, they?re too busy putting on fancy hijabs, and chanting ?Allahu Ackbar!? to bother. Instead, it?s left up to a wicked white male to reject oppressive Islamic teaching. Quote:

Mark Speakman slammed Mr Abdi?s comments: ?Respect for all women is a central value of Australian society. The views ?expressed by this preacher are repugnant to those values.?

While Mr Speakman said non-consensual sex was a serious crime that should be reported to police, it was up to authorities to determine whether Mr Abdi?s remarks constituted a criminal offence. End of quote.

Yes, well, child marriage, bigamy and female genital mutilations are serious crimes, too. For some reason, though, they?re almost never prosecuted in Australia, even though their prevalence is well known.

Still, at least this ?Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah? is just one of those whacky fringe groups that surely doesn?t represent the views of Sydney?s Islamic community. Quote:

The centre?describes itself on its website as a Masjid (mosque), youth centre and one of Sydney?s largest Islamic bookstores.

In December 2015, The Australian reported the national branch of ASWJ was founded in 1985 and has alleged ties with al-Qa?ida and Jemaah Islamiah, the group behind the Bali bombings in 2002. End of quote.

Australian Islamic State recruit, Jake Bilardi, attended ASWJ?s youth centre. One-time Amir of ASWJ is Sheikh Feiz Mohammad, is known for spouting anti-Jewish and jihadi rhetoric, and calling for the beheading of Geert Wilders. Mohammad was also linked to Boston bomber, Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Quote:

He has hosted dinners for the Ayub twins (the founders of Jemaah Islamiah in Australia), shared his home with one-time al-Qaeda confidant Rabiah Hutchinson, and tutored “Jihad” Jack Roche, Australia’s first convicted terrorist. End of quote.

We?re constantly brow-beaten about the ?vast majority? of ‘moderate Muslims’. It?s just weird that their spiritual leaders have such a habit of spouting kind of extremist-y stuff.
