Trump prepares to lay down the law in Gaza

Caption: Definitely not outside a UN agency.

For all the confected hysteria of the mainstream media and swivel-eyed leftists, Trump is proving to be an unexpectedly effective president. Unemployment is plunging, especially among minority groups, household incomes are up, the stock market is booming, and the administration is notching up some impressive foreign policy achievements.

Trump is also the world?s master troll, effortlessly baiting the media-left into screaming like babies over trivia. Most impressive is when he simultaneously trolls his opponents at the same time as he lines up another foreign policy goal. Quote:

The White House is reportedly planning to cut all its funding to the United Nations aid program for Palestinian refugees and to slash by 90 per cent the number of people it recognises as refugees, as part of Washington?s policy to ?break and re-make? the Middle East.

In an announcement expected next month, Donald Trump and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and Middle East adviser, are expected to attack the way the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) spends it funds, according to the Washington Post.

It comes just a week after the State Department announced that more than $200 million in direct aid to the West Bank and Gaza would be ?redirected? elsewhere.

The administration is also planning to slash the number of people it recognises as Palestinian refugees from 5.5 million to just 500,000, in a move that would effectively remove the issue of the right of return of Palestinian refugees to Israel. End of quote.

This will drive the left insane. The fact that it?s the brainchild of the Jewish Kushner will probably also make the left?s resurgent anti-Semitism even plainer to see. Prepare for a fresh onslaught of ?Zionist? conspiracy theories. Quote:

In recently leaked emails, Mr Kushner described the UNRWA as ?corrupt and inefficient,? and told colleagues: ?It is important to have an honest and sincere effort to disrupt UNRWA… it doesn?t help peace??the decision to slash UNRWA?s budget has been met with dismay, with experts warning it would worsen an already disastrous humanitarian situation, especially in Gaza, and sharply increase the level of violence. End of quote.

Kushner?s right about the UNRWA, of course. It?s a UN agency, after all. The ?dismay? is really the sound of pigs squealing at their trough being emptied.

United States ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, isn?t pulling punches. Quote:

?First of all, you?re looking at the fact that, yes, there?s an endless number of refugees that continue to get assistance, but more importantly, the Palestinians continue to bash America??Ms Haley added that the Palestinian Authority ?have their hand out wanting UNRWA money,? which pays for schools and essential services for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, as well as in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

She said other countries in the region sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinians should pay more.

?Where is Saudi Arabia? Where is the United Arab Emirates? Where is Kuwait?? Haley said. ?Do they not care enough about Palestinians to go and give money to make sure these kids are taken care of?? End of quote.

As Trump has been demonstrating, Obama?s disastrously supine American foreign policy is a thing of the past. Playing hardball looks to be delivering in formerly intransigent areas like North Korea and NATO. Perhaps it?s time the violent overlords of Gaza realise that they can?t cry-bully the United States any more. Quote:

Details of Mr Kushner?s”deal of the century? reportedly include the Palestinians giving up the right of return and other key demands in return for a state that would be restricted in size and autonomy. End of quote.

Whether Trump?s team manages to pull off what?s been an elusive holy grail of foreign policy very much remains to be seen. Meanwhile, if nothing else, the forthcoming temper-tantrums of the media-left are going to be the best entertainment since Inauguration Day.
