Child sex offender joins “Drag Queen Story Hour”

Transgender activists championing the sort of ?self-identification? laws proposed in New Zealand and Tasmania ? by which any man can legally become a woman more or less on a whim ? scoff at anyone who worries about such laws? potential impact on women and children especially. They sneer at the very idea that predators would exploit such laws to their advantage. Quote:

A man convicted of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy in 2008 was permitted to read to young children during Houston Public Library?s ?Drag Queen storytime? program after the library failed to subject him to a background check, local outlet KHOU reported. End of quote.

In 2018, conservative provocateur Gavin McInnes highlighted the disturbing case of a Canadian ?trans-positive early childhood education? worker whose sketchbooks were filled with portraits of serial killers and racist mass-murderers Dylan Roof, Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez and Jeffrey Dahmer. There have also been cases of a rapist ?identifying? as trans and sent to women?s prisons ? where they promptly raped again. Quote:

Houston Public Library apologized last week after learning that 32-year-old Albert Alfonso Garza, one of the participants in the program, is a registered child sex offender. Up until September 2018, Garza, who also goes by the name Tatiana Mala Ni?a, read to children as young as 2-years-old while in drag as part of a national campaign that encourages children to ?look beyond gender stereotypes.?

??Every program sponsored by HPL is supervised by HPL staff, and all children are accompanied by a parent and/or guardian. No participant is ever alone with children, and we have not received any complaints about any inappropriate behavior by participants at storytimes.? End of quote.

That?s kind of beside the point: schools have strict guidelines about adults being unaccompanied with children, too. That doesn?t mean that they will, or should, employ child sex offenders. Quote:

A pro-family activist group named Mass Resistance made the discovery regarding Garza?s criminal past and contacted KHOU.

?Most parents would not allow that individual to sit in this library and be held up as a role model to our children. Shame on you, Mayor (Sylvester) Turner!? said Mass Resistance co-leader Tracy Shannon.

?If they had done their job and due diligence, if they had said wait ? maybe it?s not a good idea to have a sex offender who at 200 pounds and 5-foot-11 assaulted an 8-year-old boy!? Shannon added.

Mass Resistance?s campaign against the library?s inclusivity-friendly program is part of a broader cultural debate surrounding changing societal norms. Progressives push for initiatives like Drag Queen storytime to increase awareness surrounding issues of gender fluidity, LGBT rights and transgenderism. End of quote.

None of this, of course, is to even remotely suggest that all trans people are paedophiles. The point is that predators will exploit any angle they can. The vast majority of teachers, Scout leaders and, yes, priests, are not paedophiles, either. But paedophiles and other sex offenders are drawn to situations where they can access their victims.

?Self-identification? is a vehicle that can easily be abused by predators. It is a deeply problematic imposition on the rights of women and children. At the same time, its claimed benefits are poorly supported. Like most ?transgender? ideology, there is little actual evidence to support its alleged benefits, only a raft of assertions about ?feelings?. There is, however, mounting evidence that predators are all-too-willing to exploit it.
