Privileged socialist uses dodgy money and lives life of luxury

Caption: It’s tough being a champion of the poor and oppressed.

In Orwell?s classic Animal Farm, the pigs in charge of the collectivised farm declare that ?all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others?. Orwell was, of course, allegorising real-life socialism. Despite its lofty sentiments about ?equality?, socialist regimes are invariably notable for their gross inequality: a very few bosses live in luxury while the vast numbers of the proletariat suffer grinding poverty. In the Soviet Union, these splendid elite were known as the ?nomenklatura?.

America?s most famous socialist is assiduously grasping the privileges of the modern socialist nomenklatura with both splendidly manicured hands. Quote:

Two political action committees founded by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?s top aide funneled over $1 million in political donations into two of his own private companies, according to a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission on Monday.

The cash transfers from the PACs ? overseen by Saikat Chakrabarti, the freshman socialist Democrat’s chief of staff ? run counter to her pledges to increase transparency and reduce the influence of “dark money” in politics?Tom Anderson, director of the National Legal and Policy Center’s Government Integrity Project, said: “It appears Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her associates ran an off-the-books operation to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars, thus violating the foundation of all campaign finance laws: transparency.”

“It does seem like there’s something amiss. I can only think of really two likely possibilities for this sort of pattern of disbursements,” said[Adav] Noti. “One is the scam PAC possibility ? they’re really just paying themselves and they?re concealing it by using the LLC. The other is that there?s actually another recipient? End of quote.

Purely coincidentally, no doubt? Quote:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., recently moved into a luxury apartment complex in Washington, D.C. that does not offer the affordable housing units that were a key plank in the New York congresswoman?s campaign platform?

The freshman congresswoman, a self-described socialist, campaigned on a platform to expand affordable housing, and her controversial Green New Deal proposal promises ?Safe, affordable, adequate housing? for all.

But Ocasio-Cortez?s new building?is part of a luxury complex whose owners specifically do not offer affordable units under Washington, D.C.?s Affordable Dwelling Units program? End of quote.

Hey, when you?re single-handedly saving us all from the end of the world due in just 12 years, you?ve got to look after number one. Quote:

Her new apartment complex ? which boasts on its website that it vows to take “luxury apartment living” to a higher level ? offers over 100,000 square feet of amenities for its residents.

These include: two private massage rooms with state-of-the-art hydrotherapy beds; men?s and women?s saunas; a full-scale demonstration kitchen with wood-fired pizza oven; a 25-meter indoor lap pool; a rooftop infinity pool with panoramic views of the Capitol; a Peloton cycling studio with over a dozen bikes; and a fireside lounge featuring a Steinway & Sons player piano.

Also included is a PGA-grade golf simulation lounge with a wrap-around screen and viewing bar that allows residents to play virtually at dozens of the world?s most exclusive golf courses with the touch of a button. End of quote.

Like putting lipstick on one of the pigs holding the whips, you can tack ?democratic? in front of socialism, but it?s still the same disgusting ideology that looks after the few at the expense of the many.
