Stuff Up of the Day

Today’s Stuff Up of the day was on the NZ Herald. It confuses the hill that Jesus was crucified on with men riding to the rescue on horseback.

Cavalry (from the French cavalerie, cf. cheval ‘horse‘) are soldiers or warriors who fight mounted on horseback.

Calvary is the name of a holy site in Christianity. It’s the name of the hill where Jesus is believed to have been crucified.
