Gun Control

Guns, statistics and lies

Every time a Muslim terrorist shoots, stabs, bombs or runs over Americans, the default response is, ?Let?s not jump to any conclusions?. That?s swiftly followed by media spin pieces claiming that the majority of terrorist attacks are really committed by white male Republicans and the Amish based on math so bad that even the world?s crookedest bookie wouldn?t go near it. And anyone who argues that the pattern of Islamic terror attacks is a call for common sense migration reform is regarded as a racist and a coward who wants to destroy the Constitution by blowing a handful of attacks out of proportion.

(And do you know how many people are hit by lightning or stung by killer bees every year.)

Yet every time there’s a big storm it’s proof that man-made global warming is real.

Florida shooting: MSM don’t miss opportunity to attack Trump

Weapons locker in mess Photo/ Cam Slater, Whaleoil Media

US President Donald Trump has called the suspect in the mass school shooting in Florida “mentally disturbed” as he vowed to help local jurisdictions tackle mental health issues, but he made no mention of stricter gun control laws.

That’s because stricter gun control wouldn’t have made a difference.

[…]Trump pledged his administration would help “tackle the difficult issue of mental health” and said the issue of improving safety in schools would be the top priority during a meeting later this month with governors and state attorneys general. Yet Trump made no mention of gun control laws in the aftermath of the third-deadliest school shooting in US history.

The shooter passed the background check and didn’t have a criminal record.

The world’s most famous socialist

HitlerSocialist

Students of history flinch when left-wingers refer to Hitler as being right-wing because anyone who knows their history knows that Hitler and his ?party were socialists. His party was called the?National Socialist German Workers’ Party. The parallels between his policies and the policies of modern-day left-wing parties are obvious. When lefties call conservatives fascists they conveniently overlook the fact that Hitler was a fascist and his brand of socialism was the nanny state on steroids. Hitler is a perfect example of what happens when a socialist leader becomes a dictator.

Obama continues to be the world’s best gun salesman, but Hillary is likely to beat his records

Barack Obama has sold more guns than any other person in history. His continued attacks against the?Second Amendment mean that people seek to get in before he tries to ban them.

The good news is that his time is almost at an end; the bad news for citizens is that Hillary Clinton will continue and escalate his attacks.

Gun sales are on a pace to break last year’s record of more than 23 million, a boon to the U.S. industry and gun stores thanks to election-year worries about gun control and recent terror attacks, according to government figures and experts.

Under Obama, background checks for guns reached 141.4 million through the end of May, amounting to sales of about 52,600 a day, according to the FBI. Last year, the FBI conducted more than 23 million background checks, which are generally used to figure sales of new and used weapons.

Domestically, manufacturers have reported producing about 21,000 guns a day, or more than 46 million in Obama’s first six years in office.

And should Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton continue to best Republican Donald Trump in the polls, sales could hit new highs, according to industry experts. ?? Read more »

The Blame game in America has reached peak stupidity

Who you gonna Blame for the Orlando Islamic terrorist attack?

Scapegoat number ONE: The?NRA

“The greatest threat to our homeland security today is the National Rifle Association, a front group for the firearms industry?that?derails gun-safety measures and perversely profits with each new mass shooting.”

Scapegoat number TWO:Christians

‘”The ISIS thing is a distraction,? Katz says, arguing that we should instead be ?looking at the long legacy of anti-gay violence in this country that has itself been stoked and promoted by the Christian right.? The central problem, he says, is not to be found in ?the Middle East,? but at home where the ?homophobia problem? exists.’

Scapegoat number THREE: Gun control

“Chris Murphy, D-Connecticut, who said blame for mass shootings lies with Congress for its failure to enact stricter gun control measures.”

Scapegoat number FOUR: The Republican Party

?This was an American killing Americans because they were queer and that has not been forcefully articulated,? Jonathan Katz said in a news release put out by the school. ?What we are trying to do here is camouflage the root of the problem, which is a long history of violent political rhetoric and homophobic policies by Republican officials and their conservative allies.”

Scapegoat number FIVE: Gays?

?The LGBT cause has blood on its hands. These deaths were caused by a paradoxical alliance between the left and Islam”

Let me tell you a little story about a flock of sheep

Wolves-e1365022742667

Howard Stern told his radio listeners a story about sheep in a passionate effort to explain his views on gun control. Apart from the foul language, I think it is a pretty good analogy and one worth sharing. If nothing else, the recent murder of a British politician with a homemade gun shows that living in a country with the tightest gun control in the world is no guarantee of safety. A gun is the greatest equalizer. A small woman like myself can actually win if a strong man with a knife or club comes after me. If he has a gun then at least I have 50-50 odds. To be honest, I would even be happy to be allowed to carry pepper spray but our government won’t even allow me that level of protection.?

Imagine you?re a defenseless sheep in a pasture filled with hundreds of other sheep, all like sitting ducks when a bloodthirsty wolf appears in the dead of night.

And you hope the shepherds and sheep dogs will protect you and your family from the ruthless?beasts ? which are slaughtering and eating all your neighbors.

But there?s a big problem.

The shepherds and sheep dogs are nowhere in sight.

They?re protecting other defenseless sheep on the other side of the pasture.

What do you do?

Judith Collins on gangs and gun control

Police Minister Judith Collins is signalling tighter controls on the licensing of firearms to gang members.

“I was really shocked the other day to find that being a gang member doesn’t preclude someone from having a firearms licence, because, apparently, you’re still a fit and proper person,” Ms Collins told Q&A today.

She says “this is the sort of nonsense that we need to change the law on”.

Parliament’s law and order select committee is holding an inquiry into the illegal possession of firearms.

It is looking at how widespread firearm possession is among criminals, including gangs, and how criminals, gangs and those who do not have a licence come into possession of firearms.

The public clearly expect any firearms held by gangs to have been obtained?illegally. To discover that some of the gang members have a bona fide?firearms licence has been a shock to many. ? Read more »

Irrational argument ignores reality of gun crime

It has started: the lobbying against guns by those who oppose them and want them banned or at least made harder to obtain. There is an enquiry on and the politics is well underway.

Of course the media party – who are too lazy to write their own stores – have started pimping anti-gun stories on behalf of the anti-gun loons. ?

Firstly, I acknowledge it must be horrific to lose a family member to a violent death. There is no question these sorts of actions taken by scumbags ruin lives.

But they also radicalise the survivors into polarised opinions; not always well informed and, whilst well meaning, they fail to grasp reality.

One thing for certain is that criminals who will commit to violence will do so with or without a gun. If it’s not a gun it’s going to be a knife. ? Read more »
