Pope Francis

So much for the Catholic Church’s committment to root out pedos

Yes, it appears the Pope loves pedos.

No matter how much it changes the Catholic Church stays the same.

Pope Francis has been slammed by church officials and sex abuse survivors for cutting penalties for paedophile priests.

The Pope is said to be applying his vision of a ‘merciful church’ to sex offenders by reducing punishments to weaker sentences, such as a lifetime of prayer and penance. Read more »

Pope Francis’ calls paymaster of terrorism ” An angel of peace “

Above is a cartoon of the man Pope Francis called an ” Angel of peace.” He is Mahmoud Abbas the leader of the unelected ruling party Fatah who financially incentivises terrorism against Israel by rewarding terrorists’ families with a pension. Abbas financed the Munich terror attack in 1972 and has a long history of inciting terror attacks against Jews by glorifying Palestinian terrorists and naming streets in their honour. The Pope had described as an angel a man who is the paymaster of terrorists and a man who continues to lead a party in the West Bank without following any democratic process.

According to Shmuely Boteach, “Abbas spent his life murdering Jews,”

As an ex-Catholic I am horrified at the support Pope Francis has given to those who would destroy Israel. Has he forgotten that Jesus was a Jew? The rock on which his church is built and the first pope Saint Peter was also a Jew.

Killing in God’s name

Killing in God’s name has been around since Adam was a boy and God has so many names….

Allah,?King of Kings, Lord of Lords,?Lord of the Hosts,?Father,?Abba, Most High, Elohim, El-Shaddai, Yahweh, Jehovah and Adonai to name just a few.

How many religions have murdered in the name of their holy book or god this century? I don’t see why people like soon to be ex-president Obama have so much difficulty naming the problem because it is a problem that has been around forever.

Religious extremists/fanatics have been using their God and their holy book as a justification for slaughter for centuries so religiously motivated slaughter is nothing new. The only thing that is different in modern times is that the majority of terror attacks around the world come from people who call their God Allah and who follow the teachings of the holy book called the Koran.

The Spanish Inquisition was a Judicial Institution initiated by the Kingdom of Spain in effort to combat ?heresy?. In reality, it consolidated the power of the monarchy and was used to justify the brutal torture of thousands of non-Catholics…the Inquisition is probably the darkest chapter of Christian history, lasting hundreds of years and claiming countless lives

Mother Teresa a saint, but no action on pedos

The new Pope has declared that Mother Teresa is a saint, but strangely remains silent on the problem of pedos lurking in the?clergy.

I guess his priorities are elsewhere.

Tens of thousands of pilgrims have flocked to St Peter’s Square for the Mass and canonisation.

Two miraculous cures of the sick after Mother Teresa’s death in 1997 have been attributed to her intercession.

In India, a special Mass was celebrated at the Missionaries of Charity, the order she founded in Kolkata. Read more »

So, no apology for all the sexual abuse victims then?

They deserve an apology but will they get one?

Pope Francis says gays ? and all the other people the church has marginalized, such as the poor and the exploited ? deserve an apology.

Francis was asked Sunday en route home from Armenia if he agreed with one of his top advisers, German Cardinal Karl Marx, who told a conference in Dublin in the days after the deadly Orlando gay club attack that the church owes an apology to gays for having marginalized them.

Francis responded with a variation of his famous “Who am I to judge?” comment and a repetition of church teaching that gays must not be discriminated against but treated with respect.

He said some politicized behaviors of the homosexual community can be condemned for being “a bit offensive for others.” But he said: “Someone who has this condition, who has good will and is searching for God, who are we to judge?” ?? Read more »

Face of the day

Pope Francis

Pope Francis

A Christian brother and sister were told that they would be given a new life in Italy by today’s face of the day and were then left behind. To make matters worse, three Muslim families were taken instead by the head of the largest Christian religion in the world, Pope Francis.

Pope embraces ?imperfect? Catholics, like people who are divorced

Presumably he also embraces his pedo priests as he outlines a “more merciful and loving church”.

Catholic Church leaders in New Zealand are welcoming a document outlining a more merciful and loving church.

The 260-page treatise called “Amoris Laetitia,” (The Joy of Love), one of the most eagerly awaited pronouncements of Pope Francis, calls for more compassion towards “imperfect” Catholics, such as those who divorced and remarried, saying “no one can be condemned forever”.

Just as well, as the Church has embraced pedophiles for decades, and people who were divorced were starting to worry if they would ever be loved by God again. ? Read more »

Nice gesture but…

The Pope washes the feet of Muslim refugees/immigrants…how nice:

Pope Francis washed and kissed the feet of Muslim, Christian and Hindu refugees on Thursday, and declared them all children of the same God.

He performed the?gesture of welcome and brotherhood at a time of increased anti-Muslim sentiment following the Brussels attacks.

Francis denounced the carnage as a “gesture of war” carried out by blood-thirsty people beholden to the weapons industry during an Easter Week Mass with asylum-seekers at a shelter in?Castelnuovo?di?Porto, outside Rome. ? Read more »

Pope enters American politics

US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is “not Christian” because of his views on immigration, Pope Francis has said on his way back to Rome from Mexico.

The pope said, however, he did not want to advise American Catholics on whether or not to vote for Trump.

In a freewheeling conversation with reporters on his flight back from a visit to Mexico, Francis was asked about Trump and some of his statements, such as vowing to build a wall between the United States and Mexico if he becomes president.

“A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian,” Francis said in answer to a specific question about Trump’s views. “This is not in the gospel.” Read more »

Pope tells Europe to take refugees because, you know, the Vatican is taking none

Once again we see the leader of a major church, the Pope in this case, telling everyone to do something that he won’t do himself.

The migrant crisis engulfing Europe poses a big challenge to Europe’s values and traditions but the continent should be able to integrate the newcomers without undermining the safety of its citizens, Pope Francis says.

More than one million people sought refuge in Europe last year, many of them fleeing violence in Syria and Iraq.

A majority of the migrants are Muslims and Europeans are worried about how to integrate them, especially since the November 13 attacks by Islamist militants in Paris that killed 130 people. ? ? Read more »
